We had the privilege of arranging a truly one-of-a-kind farewell for a gentleman who was a lifelong fan of Madness and SKA music.
As the cortege made its way through the town of Heywood, music from Madness played from the hearse, capturing the spirit and personality of a man who truly loved life. It was a moving tribute that brought smiles, emotion, and even a sense of celebration to those watching along the route.
What made this service even more touching is that the family had only recently said goodbye to their mum just seven weeks earlier. Understandably, it’s been an incredibly difficult time for them. But they told us how much it meant to have a service that felt so true to both their mum and dad — filled with character, music, and a touch of fun. They even said it was the first “fun” funeral they’d ever been to, and that it captured their parents perfectly.
Funerals don’t have to follow tradition — they can be as unique as the life they honour.
