We’re proud to continue supporting the inspiring charities and community projects that make a real difference in Heywood. Through our Kavanagh & Coates Funeral Services Community Assistance Programme, we’re once again inviting applications for grants to help local groups carry out their valuable work.
Earlier this year, we awarded a total of £1,000 to three fantastic organisations as part of our first round of funding. It’s a privilege to be able to give back to the community in such a meaningful way, and we’re excited to see what the next round will bring.
• PossAbilities – awarded £500 to help provide Reiki healing sessions.
• Kat Dance and Events – awarded £250 to support local dance activities.
• Restoring Hope – awarded £250 to help multiple individuals through their community initiatives.
And the funeral directors want to show its commitment to the community with a second round of funding.
Funeral Director Samantha Collier said: “We’re delighted to continue supporting such fantastic local causes here in Heywood. These organisations make a real difference to people’s lives, and it’s a privilege to be able to help them keep up their brilliant work.”
Fellow Funeral Director Clare Dyson added: “The first cycle of funding showed us just how many important initiatives are happening right here on our doorstep, and this second round has been no different. We’d love to hear from more local groups who could benefit, so please do get in touch.”
The Kavanagh & Coates Funeral Services Community Assistance Programme has now reopened for applications, projects within three miles of their funeral home on Bethel Street, Heywood are eligible to apply.
Grants are available to fund local activities which improve the quality of life of residents and the wider community. Projects must align with one or more of the fund’s four categories – Health, Education, Employment Opportunities, and Poverty and Social Deprivation.
This is the second of three application cycles, with the final one set to open later this year.
